ABSTRACT

In this work, data collected by several in orbit radiometers have been used to better understand the physical and biological oceanography in the continental shelf of the Gulf of Cádiz. In addition, it is shown that the generated remote sensing information can be applied to analyze the dynamics of fisheries resources that are exploited in the area under approximations that consider the dynamics of the entire ecosystem. KEY WORDS: Gulf of Cádiz, SeaWiFS, AVHRR, primary production, physical-biological coupling, fisheries resources.
